Amplifying stories of collective care and faith.

Who we are

The Uganda Caregivers Project is a collaboration of U.S. and Ugandan researchers and writers. Our goal is to amplify the stories of Ugandan community leaders who are caring for collective needs, and to explore the social ecology of care in Uganda: how families, communities, and institutions organize care and caregiving bonds, and how care reflects religious practice within diverse faith traditions.

We invite you…

to engage with the stories of the exceptional people featured in our work, as models of care and caregiving for the most vulnerable. We also invite you to go deeper, allowing their work to challenge common notions of global poverty and how “development” should be pursued.
