The Global Church and Poverty in the 21st Century
This lecture was given at Wheaton College, IL on October 6th, 2022, as the Endowed Montesi Lecture in Theology and Sociology. Referring back to the classic book, Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger, it updates the question of what causes global poverty, and what holds the global church back from addressing poverty more effectively, using insights from our work with community care providers in Uganda. This lecture was also adapted for the Missiology Seminar at Asbury Seminary, on February 15th, 2023.
